It has been my honor to serve on the Union County Board of Education since 2014. During that time, we have faced many difficult decisions, what I call the 5 Trials By Fire. Those include settling a stand lawsuit vs. the County, the retirement of the sitting superintendent and the selection of a new one, fixing a misguided student reassignment, managing the covid restrictions and last, but not least, addressing the CRT, EDI and putting a policy in place to address inappropriate books in school libraries among many others.
